Oh the land of Samurai, Sumo and Sushi!

We have a lot going on there these days! Jesse now has a permanent collection in the Kobe Lampwork Glass Museum. Iine!

A few years ago, our great friends Chad & Joe headed to Japan to live, learn, teach and love. They have humbled us by creating Humble Glass Imports to sell our work! It has been a great partnership! Thanks guys! Arigato!

Also, because of them, a Finder's Keepers rock is "somewhere" on Mt. Fuji.

Finally, we would like to send an ice cream "e-cone" to our good friend Yuuki Nitta who apprenticed with Jesse. We wish you the best Yuuki!

Whew! We are back on the Blog! A lot has happened since we last posted a year ago! Jesse and I welcomed our baby boy Cohen into the world on November 29, 2008. He is our little tank and truly a joy. After he was born, all we wanted to do is sit and stare at him. Needless to say, we weren't out in the shop too much at the end of last year. BUT, we are back! Jesse is as busy as ever! We can't wait for the day that Cohen can fire up the torch create is own beautiful work next to his Papa.

The McCall Home article written by master word magician Eric Ellis has hit newstands. We could not be more pleased with the article in which he truly captures our story of glass and romance. We hope to have it available to be read soon on our website. Thanks Eric!

Also, we recently learned that one of our floral bouquets has made the cover of Annealer Magazine.

It's A Small World

My sister-in-law gave one of our pendants to her brother's new girlfriend for Christmas, who happens to live in South Dakota. She was recently in California on a business trip and was wearing the pendant. One of her California based clients noticed the necklace and said, "Is that a Jesse DeMoss?" It just so happens that she also had a small collection of our work! Wow.....

We are excited about several upcoming magazine articles, and a spot airing on our local cable channel. It was a weird feeling to have a television crew in our home and filming us working, but I think we could get used to it! The piece that we made together for the show is on our website under goblets. It has a really funky stem with a flower orb in the center. We were happy to give it Cheryl Haas, the host of the show, for her eagerness to put us on the silver screen. Thanks Cheryl!

Last month we were interviewed by Eric Ellis, a writer for McCall Home Magazine. He was a great guy and we enjoyed talking with him. We will look for that article to be released in February.

We just finished a submission for Annealer magazine featuring a step by step on how we make our hand-blown, hand-painted floral bouquets.

Western Art & Architecture recently released their premier issue (a beautiful publication!) and we were honored to be included in their "Things We Love" section with our glass doorknobs. These will be marketed and sold through Sun Valley Bronze, a very reputable hardware company in the months to come.

McCall Artist Connection at the Whitetail Club
